Application Status Explanation
Below is an explanation of the various status that may appear next to the applications for entry to an ILCA championship.
'Un-actioned application'
An application has been submitted but has not yet been acted upon by the National Laser Association. All applications must be accepted by the National Laser Association before a place for entry can be offered. All championships have a deadline by which the National Laser Association must process all applications for their Country. The deadline is shown on the application form and also in the confirmation email sent after completing an application. For further information please contact either your National Laser Association or ILCA
'Waiting for place to be offered'
The National Laser Association has processed the applications and the system is now waiting to be able to offer a place for entry. Applicants will have to wait for a place either because the date at which the initial places are offered has not yet been reached or the application is on a waiting list for any extra places because the Country does not have enough allocated places to offer the applicant an initial place.
'Application declined'
The National Laser Association has declined the application. An application can be declined by a Country for a variety of reasons, for example, if the applicant is not a current member of the National Laser Association, if the applicant has not obtained a level of qualification required by the Country, or if the National Laser Association does not have confidence that he/she has the experience or competence required to compete in the championship. If clarification is required please contact your National Laser Association.
'Allocated place offered'
A place from the Country's initial allocated places has been offered. The applicant will receive an email with instructions on how to complete entry. Entry must be made within three weeks, before the Use by Date which is stated on the place offer email and the application list on the ILCA website. If you have not received an email offering you a place please contact the ILCA team immediately. Please note - it is the sailors responsibility to check the status of their entry, ILCA will not be able to extend the deadline if place offer emails have not been received.
'Extra place offered'
An extra place has been awarded to the Country and offered to this applicant.
'Un-actioned late application'

A place has been offered and entry including payment has been completed.
'Declined offered place'
A place has been offered and the applicant has declined the offer to make entry. The place will be re-issued through the extra place process.
