Automatic Entry for ILCA Championships
The revised entry system introduced by ILCA in 2008 requires sailor to first submit an application for entry. If a place becomes available and the sailor has a verified email address then a place offer would be emailed to the sailor giving them 14 days in which to complete their entry, including full payment of the entry fee.
As some sailors are not always able to check their email or the ILCA website ILCA has introduced an automatic entry system. The automatic entry system removes the need for the sailor to respond to an entry offer within the 14 days, by automatically entering the sailor into the championship.
IMPORTANT! By enabling the Automatic Entry system you are agreeing in advance of being offered an entry that you will attend the championship and GUARANTEE to pay the entry fee for the championship even if you later cannot attend. If you are offered a place which is automatically accepted you will have ONE MONTH to complete payment. You will be sent instructions by email on how to make payment. If you have any problems or queries regarding payment contact the ILCA office immediately. If you do not make payment for your entry within one month your entry will be cancelled and you will NOT be able to enter any future ILCA championships until the outstanding entry fee has been paid.
Changing your preference for Automatic Entry
If you wish to change your selection to either enable or disable the Automatic Entry please send an email to the ILCA office containing your name and application number (sent to you in the application confirmation email), and explaining if you would like enable or disable the automatic entry.
