Entry to this championship is by application only. Please complete the application form below.

IMPORTANT! Completing this form does NOT entitle you to an entry, this form submits an application for an entry. All applications will be processed before the entry closing date and you will be informed via the email address entered below of the result of your application. Once you submit your application it must first be approved by your national Laser Class Association.

To complete your application you must read and agree to all of the terms in the 'Notice of Race', the Notice of Race can be found in the Document store

A valid ISAF sailor number is required to apply for this event, if you have not got an ISAF number please visit the ISAF site and obtain a number before applying. Your application will fail if you do not have a valid ISAF sailor number.

Charter

IMPORTANT! Completing this form will NOT reserve a charter boat for you. Charter boats are only issued with or following an entry. If you are unsure whether you have a charter boat please contact the ILCA office before arriving at the championship.

There are limited charter boats available for championships, charter boats are allocated to countries based on distance to travel to the championship venue (allowing for sea crossings). Please see the allocations page for more information on how many charter boats are initially available for your country.

Automatic Entry

Automatic Entry for ILCA Championships

ILCA offers an Automatic Entry option for sailors.

Automatic Entry means that if you are sent a place offer, you are automatically entered into the championship and you will have 4 weeks to pay for your place instead of the normal 2 weeks. This might be useful if you have limited or no access to the internet for more than two weeks.

Normal Place Offer	Automatic Entry Option Enabled
You can either accept or decline your place offer.	You automatically accept the place offer if it is sent to you and you will be automatically entered into the championship.
You have 2 weeks to decide if you would like to accept or decline your place offer and, if you accept your place offer, pay for it.	You guarantee to pay for your place and you have 4 weeks to complete payment.

You should only enable the Automatic Entry Option if you are absolutely sure that you will be able to attend the championship. If a place offer is sent to you, you MUST pay the entry fee within 4 weeks, even if you later decide that you cannot attend. If you do not pay the entry fee, your place will be cancelled and you will be suspended from all future Laser events until the entry fee has been paid.

You do not have to enable the Automatic Entry. If you are not sure if you will be able to attend the championship and you are able to pay for a place within the normal two weeks, you should not enable the Automatic Entry Option.

Changing your preference for Automatic Entry

Any time between making your application and receiving a place offer, you can change your selection to either enable or disable the Automatic Entry by emailing ILCA. Please note that once you have received a place offer it is not possible to change the Automatic Entry Option.

1. I am a member of the International Laser Class Association by being a member of a National Laser Class Association & will be a member at the time of the championship.
2. That I will have adequate third party liability insurance for the championship as described in the Liability section of the Notice of Race.
3. That I am of good health and a competent sailor capable of racing a Laser in open water in 25 knot winds.
