The World Women's Radial Championship is a restricted entry allocated championship, sailors wishing to enter must complete an application form.
Charter boats cost £500 (GBP) plus a refundable £150 (GBP) damage deposit and are available from 25th July. Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks and tiller.
For this event, charter boats will be allocated to each competitor by a ballot. If a replacement boat/part is required during the regatta the replacement boat/part will also be assigned to the competitor from the available boats/parts by ballot. All charter boats have been built by Performance Sailcraft Japan (PSJ) and PSJ is chartering the boats to the competitors.
The boats have been used previously at one event, either the Laser Standard Men’s World Championship 2007 or the Laser Radial Karatsu Pre Worlds Regatta in May, 2009. These boats have all been factory inspected after these events and the top mast and lower mast have been replaced with new sections and the boats also have a new hiking strap.
If you wish to pick up and use your boat earlier you must book a Charter Extension. For a fee of £150 (GBP) you may extend your charter booking by seven days to start from 18th July, two alternative charter extensions are available: six days starting on the 19th July costing £130 (GBP) or five days starting on 20th July costing £110 (GBP). To arrange your charter extension please email firstname.lastname@example.org
