The Laser 4.7 Youth World & European Championship is a restricted entry allocated championship, sailors wishing to enter must first complete an application form.

Important Dates

Close of applications for initial allocation of places and charter boats: 14th January 2013 23:59 GMT

Ranking of applications by National Laser Associations: 15th January to 28th January 2013 23:59 GMT

First round of place and charter boat allocation starts: 29th January 2013

Late application opens 29th January 2013

Entry closing date 25th May 2013

Charter Boats

A limited number of charter are available. Sailors who wish to charter a laser must apply when making an application for entry. Charters boats will be offered together with place offers. Non-european sailors will be given priority in the allocation of charter boats. Charter boats cost £575 (GBP) plus a refundable £250 (GBP) damage deposit and will be available from 6th July 2013.

Charter boats are supplied with hull with self-bailer, spars, centreboard, rudder, mainsheet side cleats, control line deck block fitting with blocks and control line deck cleat fitting with cleats.

Boats are also supplied with XD padded toe straps, which are 870 mm long. Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks, tiller and tiller extension, sail and battens.

Charter boats are 2012 Laser XD models in excellent condition, used in only one previous event.

Charter Extension

If you wish to pick up and use your boat earlier you must book a Charter Extension. For a fee of £275 (GBP) you may extend your charter booking by seven days to start from 29th June 2013.
