The World Youth Laser 4.7 Championship 2008 is an allocated event available to entrants who will be 12 years old but not 18 years old in 2008.
To enter sailors must first complete an application for entry. For more information on the new ILCA "Application for Entry" process please read the International Circular 213
Entry to this event has now closed.
A limited number of charter Lasers will be available. These will be offered to sailors who have registered for a place and been allocated a place in the first round allocations in the following priority:
first priority to non-European sailors,
second priority to European sailors travelling the furthest distance taking into account sea crossings.
If there are still charter boats remaining after the first allocation of places they will be offered at the discretion of the supplier, subject to availability, on the above priority at regular intervals until all boats are allocated or until the final shipping date.
Sailors who have registered an interest for charter when making their application are automatically included on the charter request list.
Charter Boats will be available from 21st August and include hull with self-bailer and padded toe strap, spars, centreboard, rudder, mainsheet side cleats, control line deck block fitting with blocks and control line deck cleat fitting with cleats. Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks, sail, battens and tiller.
Charter boats cost £475 (GBP) plus a returnable £150 (GBP) damage deposit.

Charter boats cost £400 (GBP) plus a refundable £150 (GBP) damage deposit and are availablae from 10:00 on 12th March. Competitors must provide their own ropes, boom vang, mainsheet block, traveller blocks and tiller.
If you wish to pick up and use your boat earlier you must book a Charter Extension. For a fee of £150 (GBP) you may extend your charter booking by six days to start from 10:00 on 6th March. To arrange your charter extension please email office@laserinternational.org

The World Youth Laser 4.7 Championship 2007 is an open event available to everyone who will be 12 years old but not 18 years old in 2007.
Boats will be available from December 27th.
The cost of 'Worlds' charter will be £390(GBP) plus a £150(GBP) refundable damage deposit for a 2007 pre used boat.
The boats are supplied with hull, upper mast, 4.7 lower mast, boom, centerboard, rudder, bailer, deck block fitting with deck blocks, deck cleat fitting with cleats and hiking strap.
Competitors must bring their own sail, battens, tiller, tiller extension, ropes, control lines and control line blocks (apart from deck blocks), boom vang blocks and line, Cunningham control line and blocks, outhaul control line and blocks, traveller and traveller blocks, mainsheet and mainsheet block.
