The last day also started with no wind. The Race Committee had planned to start at 10am, but as there was no wind at all, this had to be postponed. Later the gentle breeze picked up to reasonable wind and race 7 began.
The southerly wind of around 10knots was familiar to the sailers and as usual Martl Lehner won the race. After a short interruption race 8 began and surprisingly was not won by Martl. Even a European Champion sometimes fails to find the better side of the upward leg, however this would not interfere his record, as another discard was possible after race 8. Martl sailed ashore with 6 wins.
Christoph Marsano took 2nd place in the final rankings, a good result for the host club.
Standard Results::

Christoph Marsano (AUT)

Radial Results:
Alessio Marinelli (ITA)
Peter Seidenberg (USA)

On Wednesday Morning the wind speed was zero and the Race Officer decided to wait on land for the wind to pick up. His decision was correct as around noon a light southerly wind picked up. At around 2pm racing commenced with a southerly wind of around 5 knots. The wind steadily increased to around 20knots, and three challenging races were completed.
Local sailers are still leading the standard fleet with Martl Lehner (AUT) leading with five (!) wins. He is followed by Christoph Marsano (AUT, 18 points) and Wolfgang Gerz (GER 21 points).
In the Radial fleet Alessio Marinelli (ITA, 6 points) is leading with 4 wins, one second place and one OCS = discard) followed by Peter Seidenberg (USA 13 points) and Henk Wittenberg (NED 14 points) in positions 2 and 3.

There were no races on Sunday and Monday due to lack of wind.. This was followed by a thunderstorm on Monday afternoon with a maximum wind speed of 50 knots.
The weather front passed Lake Neusiedl on Monday night leaving good southerly winds between 10 and 17 knots.
Three races were sailed on Tuesday August 21, with general recalls at the start of the third race.
